Apply Subtask Template

Applying a Subtask Template is a quick and easy way to break down larger tasks into actionable subtasks. With a few clicks, you can add predefined subtasks, customize them as needed, and get your project moving forward efficiently.

Steps to Apply a Subtask Template

  1. Open the Issue: Go to the Jira issue where you want to add subtasks.
  2. Open Subtask Template Selection: If not already visible, click the Subtask Template button at the top of the issue to open the dropdown.
  3. Select a Template: From the dropdown, choose the Subtask Template you’d like to apply.
  4. Preview the Subtasks: A preview of the subtasks that will be created appears.
    • Click on individual subtasks to deselect any that you don’t want to create.
    • Deselected subtasks won’t be included in the final creation.
  5. Create Issues: Click Create Issues to add the selected subtasks to the issue.
  6. Refresh the Page: Reload the page to view the standard Jira subtask issue view.
