About Conditions
Checklist Templates are applied based on specific conditions you configure. These conditions help ensure that the right checklist is applied to the right issues, automatically or manually.
Issue Type Condition
Mandatory Issue Type Selection
Every checklist template must have at least one Issue Type assigned. Without selecting an issue type, the template cannot be applied, even manually.
Multiple Issue Types
You can select multiple issue types to simplify configuration and expand the applicability of your template.
Behavior When Issue Type Changes
If the issue type of an issue changes, the checklist template will not be applied even if the configuration matches the newly selected issue type.
Label Condition (Optional)
Matching Labels
You can assign multiple labels to a template. The condition follows an OR logic: at least one label must match for the template to apply.
Dynamic Application
Anytime you add a matching label to an issue, the corresponding checklist template will be applied, whether during issue creation or through updates.
Rules for Creating Templates
- Issue Type Requirement: You cannot create a checklist template without selecting at least one issue type.
- Label Flexibility: You can create checklist templates without assigning any labels, relying solely on the issue type condition.
